NBP Coverage Map Help

The NBP coverage map displays the latest coverage information of the national biodigester program.

The Map

Color codes are applied to administrative boundaries to reflect the density of biodigesters in the area. The legend at the bottom of the map indicates the density value for each color code.

The map can be viewed at 4 different levels:

Furthermore, the NBP coverage can be viewed for a particular year. At the bottom of the map, select a specific year to view only plants completed during or before that year.
For example, selecting the year 2008 will show coverage for all plants completed in 2008 or before.
Selecting "All Plants" will show all current plants, completed or not.

The Information side panel

The panel on the right side of the map shows coverage information for the selected areas: total number of plants within the area. Click on the "per size>>" button to view number of plants per sizes within the area.

The Toolbox

The toolbox offers 6 different tools. Click on the icon to select a specific tool. The currently selected tool is indicated with a red border around its icon.

  1. Zoom In tool zoom in
  2. Select this tool to zoom on the map from one level to the next.
    For example, when viewing the entire country, select the "zoom in" tool and click on a province to view the map for that province.

    When this tool is selected, move your mouse over an area to see the corresponding coverage information in the right side panel.

  3. Zoom Out tool zoom in
  4. Select this tool to zoom on the map from one level to the previous.
    For example, when viewing the map for a province, select the "zoom out" tool and click on the map to view the map for the entire country.

    When this tool is selected, move your mouse over an area to see the corresponding coverage information in the right side panel.

  5. Help Tool zoom in
  6. Displays this help.

  7. Information tool zoom in
  8. When this tool is selected, click on an area of the map to see the corresponding coverage information in the right side panel.

  9. Save tool zoom in
  10. Download the current map and information panel as a jpg image. This tool can be used to insert the map information in reports for example.

  11. Search Tool zoom in
  12. Locates a particular plant on the map. Type in the code of the biodigester in the text box on the left of the icon, then click on the icon. A pin zoom in icon will appear on the map to indicate where this plant is located.

The Layers


On the Left side of the map, under the toolbox, the "Layers" panel allows adding or removing information from the map.
When selecting a checkbox, the corresponding boundaries, cities, roads or river will be displayed on the map. When de-selecting the checkbox, the information will be removed from the map.

For example: when viewing the entire country, check "Provincial Towns" to display the main city for each province.

On the Left side of the map, under the layers panel, the "View Options " panel allows altering the information viewed on the map:
